Hunter Education

Any hunter born on or after January 1, 1975, is required to successfully complete a hunter education course in order to purchase an Idaho hunting license. Hunters who show proof of a previously held hunting license or hunter education certificate are exempt.

Idaho Fish and Game offers online and in-person courses for new hunters to learn hunter safety, hunting ethics, laws, wildlife identification, and so much more! All courses are open for anyone ages 9 to adult.
